This Lead Financial Officer (LFO) role has responsibility for Global Legal & Affairs & Compliance (GLAC) and Internal Audit (IA). LFOs are Finance partners and strategic advisors to the functions and businesses they support. They lead the development and execution of financial objectives for their respective areas, including strategic business initiatives to deliver financial performance, and serve as the conduit for their function(s) with other Finance disciplines. Responsibilities: This GLAC and IA LFO role will be responsible for the following LFO responsibilities: Managing critical stakeholder relationships, including the Corporate Secretary, Chief Auditor, Chief Compliance Office, Head of Legal, and Chief Security Office Supporting establishment and delivery of each Function’s financial objectives Leading short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting and planning processes Advising and partnering on financial business decisions and plans Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the Functions, their core mandate and strategic objectives Providing insightful analysis and thoughtful challenge that informs strategic and financial plans and contributes to performance-based outcomes Drive financial discipline, efficiencies and a culture of accountability of delivering financial results Providing regular financial performance updates, including in-depth financial analysis, insight into variances to financial plans, and proposing credible solutions to senior management Leading a team and supporting key people management responsibilities such as hiring, team building, and development Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: 15+ years of experience Knowledge of and/or experience working with the corporate / functions, with direct knowledge of Compliance Risk Management, Internal Audit. Legal and/or Security functions a plus Financial management experience, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, analytics and analysis Strong analytical and communication skills and proven ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders Experience managing high performing and motivated teams
