About The Position

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join our Business Finance organization. This position will report directly to the Land Systems Controller and will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support for assigned contracts, including reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Serve as the lead financial analyst for assigned contracts, interfacing with program teams to track and forecast financial performance. Track revenue recognition, cash flow, program expenditures, and Estimates at Completion (EACs), providing timely variance analysis. Monitor program receivables and identify opportunities to improve cash flow. Support Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations by tracking material costs from Purchase Order release through inventory and project expense to ensure program material estimates are accurate. Prepare and present executive-level financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Assist with reporting of results, monthly short forecasts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning. Collaborate with Program Directors and the Controller to ensure program forecasts are accurately reflected in business P&L and cash flow projections. Ensure compliance with applicable FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations for all proposal submissions and negotiations. Partner with the External Audit team on programs selected for review. Coordinate with Accounting to ensure program financials are properly stated on the Income Statement and Balance Sheet. Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required. The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  • 10+ years of business experience with a significant portion directly related to financial management.
  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracting and familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and CAS rules and regulations.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, formulas, and graphing.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large financial datasets.
  • Experience utilizing financial reporting software.
  • Ability to proactively identify and implement process and tool improvements.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting rules and principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to multi-task.
  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance, if required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems and reporting.
