Lead, Financial Analyst

TaskrabbitSan Francisco, NY
$128,000 - $155,000Hybrid

About The Position

Taskrabbit is looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team — someone who combines sharp financial instincts with the interpersonal skills to influence a fast-moving organization. In this role, you'll partner with business leaders across the company to understand performance, evaluate investments, and help shape our path to sustainable growth and increased profitability. You'll need to be technically excellent — superb modeling skills and comfort getting deep in the data details are baseline expectations. But what will set you apart is your ability to build genuine partnerships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, translate complex analysis into clear decisions, and earn a reputation as a trusted advisor. If you're highly self-motivated, intellectually curious, great at building connections, and bring a strong sense of ownership to everything you touch, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, mathematics, analytics, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or business analytics
  • Experience in a fast-paced tech environment, ideally a marketplace business
  • Excellent financial modeling skills with a hands-on approach to data and model construction
  • A natural communicator who can bridge technical and business audiences — turning complexity into clarity
  • Someone who identifies critical business problems and solves them with rigorous, creative analysis
  • A self-starter who takes ownership, operates with high integrity, and brings curiosity to every challenge

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models and reports in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Play a critical role in forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting cycles
  • Conduct ROI analyses to evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities
  • Present analysis to senior and cross-functional audiences — crafting compelling narratives that surface key strategic decisions, not just data
  • Take a leadership role in internal team meetings; coach and motivate junior team members and drive process improvements across the finance function
  • Help build finance's reputation as a strategic partner by consistently delivering actionable insights to the business
  • Contribute to Taskrabbit's internal AI strategy — identifying and executing opportunities to make the finance team, and the broader organization, more effective through AI tools
