About The Position

Taskrabbit is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The ideal candidate is a strategic, detail-oriented finance professional with exceptional modeling skills and a passion for driving business performance through insightful analysis. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes—providing clarity and visibility into business performance. You’ll develop and refine financial models, conduct ROI analyses, and help guide investment decisions that balance near-term priorities with long-term growth objectives. This role comes with business impact, including the opportunity to interact with senior leadership and influence how Taskrabbit allocates resources, plans for the future, and measures success. We’re seeking someone who is analytical, proactive, and intellectually curious, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills—an Excel or spreadsheet expert.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial concepts for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
  • A strategic thinker who can connect financial insights to business decisions.
  • Highly self-motivated and curious, with a passion for solving problems and improving processes.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Sigma) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and manage financial models, budgets, and forecasts that guide strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with Accounting and cross-functional business leaders to ensure financial results are accurate, timely, and aligned with key business drivers.
  • Support the annual planning and quarterly re-forecasting processes, providing insight into trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct ROI analyses to evaluate investment opportunities, new initiatives, and major business decisions.
  • Analyze variances and review budget performance with senior leadership, delivering actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain clear financial reporting frameworks and metrics to track marketplace health and unit economics (e.g., CAC/LTV, contribution margin).
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support resource allocation and strategic priorities.
