About The Position

At Gateway Fiber, we connect people to Internet and Phone service in-town and rural with fixed wireless and fiber technologies. Gateway Fiber is looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills paired with technical ability. As a Field Technician you will play a vital role in the continued stability and growth of our organization.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Possess basic computer skills
Must live in the area you will be servicing/assigned to
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

Nice To Haves

Network skills are a plus, but not required, Gateway will train the right candidate.
Cable or Satellite Installation: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Dispatch from your home daily and work in your geographical area.
Perform installation and service of wireless internet at customer locations.
Maintain inventory of necessary materials and tools for company vehicles.
Recognize, practice, and ensure safety rules and procedures.
Keep company vehicle clean and maintained.
Hand out marketing material, and willingly promote Gateway
Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills
Possess basic computer skills and be willing to learn new technologies
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-change environment while managing multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
Must demonstrate accountability in order to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Must be professional in dress, speech, and manner.
