We are seeking a Lead Field Installer to oversee and execute the installation of our custom architectural metalwork at high-profile projects across Northern California, Hawaii, and beyond. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with ornamental architectural installation
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in ornamental architectural installation techniques across metals, such as ornamental staircases, railings, wine cellars, entry doors, and specialized art pieces is required.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, welding (TIG/MIG), rigging, and safe handling of large metal assemblies.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and site coordination best practices.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to SF Bay Area and beyond
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills.
- Physical capability to meet the demands of job sites, including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing, kneeling, and working at heights.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site installation teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and at the highest quality standards.
- Interpret complex architectural drawings and translate them into precise, real-world installations.
- Conduct site visits, assess logistics, and collaborate closely with general contractors, architects, clients, and our fabrication team.
- Ensure the safe handling, transportation, and installation of large and intricate metal components.
- Apply on-site welding and fabrication adjustments when necessary, always upholding structural integrity and design intent.
- Maintain open communication with clients and project partners, anticipating challenges and resolving issues quickly.
- Support fabrication in our Colusa shop during non-installation periods.
