The Lead Spares Technician position will report to the Facilities Spares Inventory Control Supervisor and will be responsible for leading the Facilities Spares Technician assignments to include receiving spare parts, transacting parts into and out of inventory system, organizing and stocking parts in a variety of locations, transporting materials between warehouses, and interfacing directly with internal customers who are searching for parts. This person is expected to be able to execute against provided instructions to accurately identify spare parts, perform perfunctory data entry tasks, inventory counts, create locations & labels for bins, fill kitting requests, daily/weekly reports and meet deadlines. The Lead Spares Technician is expected to lead daily tasks efficiently and safely and be proactive in driving continuous process improvements as well as other tasks assigned by the department supervisor/manager. Lead all warehousing responsibilities: cycle counts, kitting parts for maintenance jobs, receiving parts against purchase orders, stocking parts throughout the warehouse (physical in warehouse and virtual in inventory control software), data entry for new parts and purchases, purchasing of parts/equipment and housekeeping Manage purchases from suppliers by ensuring correct material is quoted and orders are properly tracked Provide proficient customer service to multiple teams requiring Facilities warehouse support Train and support warehouse technicians on warehouse team responsibilities and tasks Maintain open lines of communication and support with the Facilities maintenance team to provide necessary parts/equipment for various maintenance scopes of work
