As a Lead Experience Designer in PNC’s AMG Digital organization, based in Pittsburgh, PA, you’ll create impactful digital solutions that shape product strategy and user experience. Collaborating with designers, agile teams, and product leaders, you’ll ensure every interaction is engaging, consistent, and accessible. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building, shaping, and guiding large-scale, multi-faceted experiences for wealth advisors at PNC Private Bank. You’ll lead and direct UX efforts that directly impact how advisors manage and grow client relationships, creating tools that help them improve workflows, drive efficient decision-making and better serve their portfolio of clients. You’ll work across these human-centered design practices: User experience research and testing Interaction and user experience design Visual and communication design Prototyping In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Apply your UX and UI skills to an established product by owning the end-to-end experience
  • Define problems and goals, map user flows, and prototype interactions
  • Leverage and improve a design system/component library that aims to deliver consistent UX across a range of user touchpoints
  • Conduct user interviews, research, and analysis to understand user needs
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design decisions
  • Facilitate brainstorming and design sessions internally and externally
  • Evolve prototypes from low, to mid, to high-fidelity
  • Work alongside UX research, UX content and accessibility experts
  • Communicate design strategy to teammates, partners and senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with front-end developers and project managers to implement UI solutions and ensure the technology fully executes the vision and requirements
  • Transforms complex tasks into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs through the entire experience lifecycle, from the first-time user to the expert.
  • Leads and guides the discovery of customer and business needs through contextual inquiries, generative and quantitative research.
  • Uncovers customer latent needs and creates vision to meet those needs.
  • Sets the design direction and strategy.
  • Leads others to execute visual, information, interaction and service design elements of the initiative that meets business and customer needs and delights customers.
  • Communicates the initiative and product to others, including senior management, through user journeys, storyboards, prototypes, wireframes and other materials.
  • Sets the direction for usability of new and existing products, makes adjustments to align with shifting customer expectations.
  • Establish research methods and strategies, conduct studies, and present findings that will inform improvements in the customer experience.
  • Coaches and mentors junior staff; Assists management team in training new staff.
