About The Position

Overview: As a Lead Enterprise Communications Engineer within our Network Operations team, you will be a pivotal contributor to the strategic design, robust implementation, proactive maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of our critical enterprise network infrastructure. This senior role demands comprehensive expertise across a diverse range of networking technologies. Key Technical Expertise Includes: Cisco Routing & Switching Cisco Wireless Solutions Firewall Technologies (including Palo Alto Networks) Citrix Load Balancers Google Cloud Networking Illumio Micro-segmentation Highly Preferred Skills: Proven proficiency in advanced routing protocols, including BGP and EIGRP. Demonstrated experience with SD-WAN technologies. Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and IT Service Management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow). Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in real-time with minimal supervision.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes the activities of day-to-day and after hours support of networking engineering and communication operations 24/7/365.
  • Coordinates the daily engineer team assignments to include but not limited to; incident management, device configuration reviews, and device change configuration reviews.
  • Reports metrics for proactive and predictive analysis.
  • Implements recommendations based upon these metrics to drive improved network, communication, and clinical application performance.
  • Responsible for managing assigned Incident and Change queues, and ensures that they are meeting established Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensures change management procedures are followed.
  • Implements recommendations for resources required to maintain and improve service levels.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurate and up to date; provides training and documentation to team as needed.
  • Uses knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Problems addressed are of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
