About The Position

The Enterprise Network Engineering team is responsible for deployment, configuration, monitoring, and day to day operations of the data networking and network security infrastructure at Stack. As an Enterprise Network Engineer, you will assist in the operations, deployment and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configuration of the network and security infrastructure, troubleshoot network issues, and support helpdesk and users with network related issues.
This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA

Requirements

• 3 years of experience
• Experience troubleshooting complex issues and providing detailed root cause analysis
• A deep understanding of network orchestration and automation with Python, Ansible, and Terraform
• Experience supporting BGP networks along with other advanced routing protocols
• Experience supporting multiple DNS and DHCP deployments
• Fundamental understanding of network security with experience in edge firewall support
• Fundamental understanding of SSE VPN solutions with widely distributed users
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and switching, Ubiquiti wifi, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA preferred
• Experience with Cradlepoint netcloud and Cradlepoint routers preferred
• Experience with datacenter networking technologies, Cisco ACI preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Stack’s highly technical software and hardware engineering teams by providing tier 2 and 3 support for network issues, and managing network support ticket queues
• Troubleshoot and diagnose VPN, Wifi, Internet, and internal network issues
• Monitor network and security infrastructure via organizational tools and platforms
• Engage with other Stack teams to escalate and prioritize support issues
• Assist in network deployment and testing using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools
• Implement and improve network automation tooling, alerting, and observability
• Provide rotating on call support for after hours user reported issues and maintenance
