About The Position

Member of specialized team supporting numerous collaborative projects with external customers & government agencies to advance the technological development of electric machines in novel markets. Roles and Responsibilities The candidate is expected to troubleshoot issues for rapid resolution, often under the challenge of short machine prototyping schedules and milestones. Must perform hands-on prototype build tasks, testing, and design. A primary focus on technical advancement and team productivity is required. The major thrust of this position is the mechanical design and analysis of electric machine components/assemblies, and the ancillary tooling required to manufacture. This involves the application of solid mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, and mechanics of materials. Other activities will be involved in directing drafting and supporting manufacturing, suppliers and business partners to assure that design intent from conceptual definition to finished product is achieved. During R&D and Aerospace prototyping major milestone gaps, candidate may be required to assist with mechanical design and analysis of turbine generator fields, excitation components, power train dynamics, and ancillary hardware/assemblies. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: ineligible. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 3 years work exposure to power generation equipment, electric machine design, and advanced electric machine hardware prototyping.
  • Design engineering experience supporting manufacturing processes.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
