To join our team as a Lead Energy Technician! In this role will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers and educating them on energy waste reduction. Install basic energy-efficient equipment, and inspect customers homes for insulation, air sealing, HVAC equipment and make recommendations for saving energy and money. We are looking for candidates in the following areas of Michigan: Southeast Flint Lansing Kalamazoo

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience such as residential construction, HVAC or weatherization.
  • Comfortable using computers and various software.
  • Comfortable using various hand and power tools.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving background.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Post secondary education preferred.
  • BPI Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service in residential settings.
  • Install basic residential energy‑efficiency upgrades (training provided).
  • Provide technical guidance and education to homeowners on home systems and HVAC (training provided).
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Safely climb ladders (up to 10’) and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Share project updates, feedback, and technical insights with program staff.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve technical or installation issues.
  • Travel within an assigned territory.
  • Work a variable schedule as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
