About The Position

This role is central to managing and optimizing encounter data workflows, ensuring submissions meet the highest compliance standards while providing actionable business intelligence. You will lead cross-functional projects, develop scalable data solutions, and transform complex datasets into meaningful insights that inform strategic decision-making. Acting as a technical leader and mentor, you will guide junior team members, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and implement best practices in data analysis, automation, and visualization. The role requires advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and BI tools, with a focus on healthcare datasets and encounter submissions. You will collaborate closely with internal partners to enhance operational efficiency, troubleshoot complex data issues, and deliver high-quality analytics. This position offers a hybrid/remote work environment with occasional travel for team meetings or project collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years of experience with scalable coding in Python and SQL in a collaborative environment
  • 6+ years of experience in complex data analysis and building dashboards (3+ years)
  • 2+ years of project leadership or technical lead experience
  • Experience with healthcare datasets and encounter submission processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools, automation, and process improvement frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic intelligence programs to improve encounter data quality and operational efficiency
  • Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions, including Python scripts, SQL queries, Databricks notebooks, Azure DevOps pipelines, and Power BI dashboards
  • Mentor and guide junior Business Intelligence team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
  • Translate complex requirements into actionable technical specifications and robust data workflows
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver applicable resolutions
  • Present actionable insights to partners and leadership, adapting communications to varied audiences
  • Advocate for continuous improvement in data governance, quality, and process best practices
