The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. Performs advanced (senior level) work in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuits at the facility. Installs and repairs electrical systems, circuits, apparatus, and electrical components of machinery and equipment. Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots electrical equipment, lighting, and power circuits. Coordinates electrical repairs performed by others. Advises others on electrical issues when planning maintenance projects. Participates in planning long-range electrical maintenance programs as part of the maintenance team. Maintains and renovates electrical services. Processes paperwork related to work orders, projects, and material requisitions. Assigns work to others qualified to perform the work. Trains, coordinates, and leads the work of others in the maintenance department on projects involving electrical work. Maintains and oversees records. Works under limited supervision of the plant manager, assistant plant manager (or other appropriate supervisor depending on facility structure), with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
