We currently have an opening for a Lead Electrical Engineer, for our Ultra High Purity Unit. This individual is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and improving electrical circuits, components, and systems used within our ultra‑high‑purity analyzers and related products. This position is based in Horsham, PA, reporting to the Director of Innovation with a focus on delivering robust electrical designs, ensuring product reliability, and supporting continuous improvement across all Process Insights product lines. This is an Engineering position that will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and Supply Chain. This includes collaborating with teams at other Process Insights factories based in Pittsburgh, Houston, and elsewhere. This role plays a critical part in driving our vision to partner with our customers to become their preferred process analytical solutions provider. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and/or KiCad.
  • Hands‑on electromechanical or assembly experience with excellent manual dexterity.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, etc.).
  • Skilled in soldering, customizing, and troubleshooting PCBs.
  • Ability to read and interpret component lists, electrical schematics, engineering prints, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
  • Experience with compliance and certification processes (e.g., CE Mark, Class I Div 2).
  • Experience with high‑voltage electronics, FPGA, RF, or laser‑diode driving circuits.
  • Strong understanding of design engineering requirements to properly assemble components and products.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with effective time‑management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation abilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and follow through on commitments.
  • Willingness to assist with tasks outside normal responsibilities when needed.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits for various analyzer components and systems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, test procedures, etc. in an organized matter.
  • Choose components and suppliers, including finding backup suppliers for difficult-to-source components.
  • Build and test prototype circuits and custom units as required.
  • Identify and indicate obsolescence issues and opportunities for design improvements. Implement design changes/improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to cost engineer existing circuit and PCB designs.
  • Support the resolution of non-conformances, aid in root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions for issues related to engineering design.
  • Develop professional skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the Company or elsewhere, subject to company approval.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data from processes requiring mathematical and statistical knowledge. Counts, sorts, labels, and packages assembled materials. May disassemble and re-work and test as necessary.
  • Support compliance testing at certified test labs and make design changes to meet standards, such as CE Mark, UL, and C1D2.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PCBs and other electrical components.
  • Support Production in modifying boards, building/maintaining test fixtures, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal inter- and cross-departmental relationships by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others to holistically support broader PI goals.
  • Apply PI values to tasks and responsibilities.
