About The Position

Eaton's Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Lead EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. As the Lead EHS Analyst, you will be part of the EHS Department and provide environmental, health, safety, and security support to a site of approximately 400 employees. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting EHS activities at the site includes supporting achievement of EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are organized and readily available. This position is also responsible for supporting MESH assessment program; management of worker's compensation program; driving incident/injury management, including root causes and corrective actions; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; tracking closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; administration of EHS specific training for the location; supporting actions during crises; site security, supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. In this role, you will: The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or equivalent from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in EHS.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote zero incident EHS culture through the MESH (Management of Environmental, Safety, & Health) programs in order to achieve World Class Status as well as any other Eaton, State or Federal Recognized programs.
  • Supports the creation of EHS goals and/or objectives for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
  • Support site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.
  • Support development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and opportunities for safety improvements for jobs/tasks.
  • Manage multiple MESH Elements and will support other MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
  • Work with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead injury and illness investigations, as well as near misses, using A3 problem solving (or others) to capture lessons learned and implement corrective, preventive measures to avoid future injuries.
  • Prepare reports of key EHS performance indicators to track leading and lagging indicators and supporting EHS information for presentation to Leadership group(s).
  • Lead EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
  • Recognize and integrate principle Continuous Improvement (Lean/CI) concepts into EHS and vice-versa. Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements by participating and co-leading MESH Teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations across all functions to ensure compliance to MESH guidelines and persuade or lead teams to effective resolutions.
  • Ensure confidential, discreet handling of sensitive, confidential and proprietary information and tact and initiative in contacts with company employees, management and external regulatory/legal agencies or sources.
