Our next Full-time Lead Driver will be responsible for deliveries to licensed marijuana sellers as well as logging inventory, loading and unloading orders, and more. This position will require traveling within the state of MD by company-provided car. Where you’ll be planted This position will be on-site at our Hagerstown, MD facility. To be blunt, this role will be about: Work closely with Grow and Processing Fulfillment leads in retrieving product from the vaults; responsible for the loading and unloading of product into the company vehicles according to company specifications. Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedule using predetermined routes Review orders prior to delivery Provide exceptional customer service to our customers Understand and follow all rules and regulations set forth by the state of Maryland for delivery of cannabis Transport deliveries safely and securely according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Deliver and register receipt of product shipments by authorized agents of dispensary organizations Maintaining accurate inventory, transport and distribution records Operate vehicle within all state and local guidelines Ensure load is properly secured before moving the vehicle Communicate any security or safety concerns to department Manager, as needed Communicate with the department Manager on a regular basis to review all department’s regulatory and local SOP standards are being followed by all team members. Review routes and suggest changes to ensure efficient and direct routes to dispensaries Training new team members; and, serve as the lead for on the job training. Ensure the following area complete and accurate; including, but not limited to: Vehicle Inspection Checklists, Sanitation Logs, Daily Transportation Checklists, Manifests, 8300 Forms, and package tags are given to the appropriate dispensary. Assists with and serves as the lead for securing returned product. Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and sanitized. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures preferred
  • Experience in the cannabis industry desirable, but not required
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and some holidays
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computing skills
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks
  • Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction
  • High level of integrity
  • Able to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 50lbs
  • Capable of sitting, standing kneeling, bending, squatting, and/or walking for extended periods of time
  • Capable of using hands and fingers to touch, handle, feel and pick
  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals (butane, propane, etc.) following strict safety guidelines
  • Utilize chemicals (such as bleach) to clean and maintain facility/equipment
  • Must wear PPE (clothing protection), close-toed non-slip shoes, and optional ear/eye protection

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cannabis industry desirable, but not required
  • Familiarity with warehouse procedures preferred
