Lead Director, Enterprise Website Position Overview We are seeking a visionary lead director to define the strategy and lead the transformation of our enterprise website into a world-class digital newsroom and content hub. This role will oversee a senior web manager and an AEM content specialist, with dotted-line support from a web analytics function, to deliver a dynamic, newsroom-style experience that informs, engages, and inspires our audiences. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep expertise in UX/UI design, content strategy, and digital publishing, combined with a passion for storytelling and operational excellence. You will champion editorial quality, design innovation, and performance optimization, ensuring our site becomes a trusted destination for thought leadership and brand storytelling.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital strategy, web management, or UX/UI leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale content-driven web initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Expertise in UX/UI principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Strong understanding of web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and editorial performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in newsroom-style publishing, corporate content hubs, or thought leadership platforms.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Workfront, SEO strategies, and digital accessibility compliance.
  • Background in front-end and back-end development concepts for effective technical oversight.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Web Development, UX/UI Design, Journalism, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy Define and execute a bold vision for the corporate website as a content-first, newsroom-style platform. Establish editorial and design standards that elevate storytelling and user experience.
  • Leadership & Team Development Lead and mentor a team responsible for web operations, AEM content authoring, UX/UI design, and analytics. Foster a culture of creativity, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Content & Experience Excellence Oversee content strategy and governance, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand voice. Drive UX/UI innovation to create immersive, accessible, and visually compelling experiences.
  • Performance & Insights Implement analytics frameworks to measure engagement, content reach, and audience behavior. Translate insights into actionable strategies for editorial optimization and design enhancements.
  • Technology & Innovation Stay ahead of AEM advancements, digital publishing trends, and emerging technologies. Partner with IT and development teams to ensure technical scalability and seamless integration of multimedia.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with marketing, communications, and product teams to align web initiatives with broader storytelling goals. Manage vendor relationships for development, hosting, and QA services.
  • Governance & Compliance Enforce governance for workflows, publishing processes, and accessibility standards. Ensure compliance with ADA, SEO best practices, and brand guidelines.
