About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Direct Care Support to join our team at our IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) Residential Home. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing high-quality care, support, and guidance. Full-time shift available: Monday to Friday (6:00am to 2:00pm) Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure the delivery of consistent, person-centered care Facilitate training and ongoing education for staff on behavioral health strategies and best practices Support clients during community outings and recreational activities Collaborate with team members, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management Monitor and document residents' progress, behaviors, and needs accurately and timely Provide direct support to residents, assisting with daily activities, behavioral interventions, and skill development Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and organizational policies Act as a liaison between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and support On-Call is required with this position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred
  • Proven experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques and positive behavior support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks as required
