Special Requirements US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust Active DHS or USCIS Public Trust clearance preferred The Gist… We are seeking a dynamic Lead Data Scientist / Tech Lead to shape and lead the future of Amivero’s data science capabilities. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and customer engagement to design, deliver, and scale innovative data solutions across our portfolio. The ideal candidate is both a visionary and a builder, someone who can define data strategy, mentor and grow teams, and actively contribute to the design and implementation of modern data platforms and analytics solutions. You are comfortable engaging with executives and customers, translating complex technical concepts into actionable solutions, and serving as a trusted advisor across projects. What Sets You Apart... Experience building and scaling a data science practice or capability within an organization Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution Strong customer presence with the ability to present, influence, and advise at multiple levels Experience supporting federal clients (DHS, USCIS, etc.) and navigating mission-driven environments Passion for mentoring and growing high-performing technical teams Track record of delivering innovative, production-ready data and analytics solutions What Your Day Might Include… Design and architect end-to-end data science solutions, including data platforms, pipelines, and machine learning capabilities Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert (SME) across multiple projects, providing guidance and hands-on support as needed Mentor and develop team members, fostering growth in data engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies Act as a customer-facing solutions engineer, presenting technical approaches, leading discussions, and building trusted relationships Translate business and mission requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions Lead and contribute to architecture reviews, code development, and troubleshooting efforts Oversee and support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and progress tracking Ensure adherence to best practices in data architecture, governance, security, and performance optimization Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to continuously enhance Amivero’s data science capabilities and offerings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 8+ years of experience in technical project management, solution delivery, or leadership roles Strong hands-on experience with: Cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Databricks and modern data platforms Data engineering, analytics, and/or software development Proven ability to: Lead technical teams and deliver complex solutions Translate requirements into actionable technical tasks and architectures Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and customers Experience managing Agile delivery, including: Sprint planning Backlog refinement Progress tracking and delivery oversight CERTIFICATIONS (ONE OR MORE PREFERRED) Databricks Certifications: Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional Agile/Scrum Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) EOE/M/F/VET/DISABLED All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Requirements

• US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust
• Active DHS or USCIS Public Trust clearance preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in technical project management, solution delivery, or leadership roles
• Strong hands-on experience with: Cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Databricks and modern data platforms Data engineering, analytics, and/or software development
• Proven ability to: Lead technical teams and deliver complex solutions Translate requirements into actionable technical tasks and architectures Serve as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and customers
• Experience managing Agile delivery, including: Sprint planning Backlog refinement Progress tracking and delivery oversight
