About The Position

The Lead Crew Scheduler is a position that will provide support to flight crew members, dispatch and company leadership. This person will be responsible for oversight of our crew schedulers, crew coordinators and our action in unique service situations and irregular operations. Candidates for this position should be able to multi-task and handle high-stress situations.

Requirements

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.
  • Minimum of three years in aviation or aviation related industry
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations using both decimals and hours/minutes as well as use of a 24-hour clock

Nice To Haves

  • Rockwell Collins FOS or similar crew scheduling software familiarity preferred.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly schedules and/or bid lines creation for flight crew members.
  • Participate in maintaining the Company seniority list for flight crew members.
  • Participate in the annual vacation bid process for flight crew members.
  • Ensure all notification of changes to crewmembers daily/monthly schedule changes is done in compliance with Company work rules
  • Continuous monitoring of flight crew member schedules to ensure legality/FAR compliance for 135 operations.
  • Utilization of reserve flight crew members in the most efficient and expedient method necessary to ensure operational reliability.
  • Arrange necessary accommodations including, but not limited to, hotel and deadhead flight bookings for flight crew members.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to all flight crew members through handling all scheduling related items including relaying correct policy, procedural and regulatory information.
  • Lead, train, and develop a staff of crew coordinators
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by leadership
