Our Global Operations Cost Accounting Finance team owns inventory reconciliations, physical inventory counts, cycle counts, SOX controls, narratives, and global inventory framework. While partnering & supporting our business partners in Dexcom’s Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality and Engineering organizations. Our growing team supports the operations team to ensure proper execution of inventory movements and that our transactions are accurate and timely reported to support the global strategy of our manufacturing business. We are looking for driven and self-motivated team members to join and help us continue to expand and grow our analytical expertise for our US Manufacturing organization.

Requirements

  • You have a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with demonstrated leadership in ASC 330; IFRS experience is a plus.
  • You can prepare SOX narratives and perform research to continuously improve existing processes.
  • You are able to cross‑train and build trusting partnerships with operational business counterparts and other finance functions to present, share, and gain alignment on required changes or updates.
  • You are driven and continuously curious, with a strong desire to grow your financial acumen.
  • You communicate clearly and concisely and are comfortable working with senior leadership.
  • You understand financial and accounting concepts—including cost accounting basics (capitalization and amortization schedules, P&L, balance sheet, accruals, prepayments)—and you bring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • You partner effectively with cross‑functional team members to drive deliverables forward.
  • You can multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate, and reliable work.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters).
  • You have working knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle.
  • You bring industry experience in medical devices.
  • You enjoy working with people, systems, and detailed data.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Bring strong technical accounting skills that help drive the narrative and you can draft clear, concise accounting policies.
  • Standardize global inventory controls and ensure proper alignment across manufacturing sites and distribution centers.
  • Own Inventory/Cost Accounting and SOX controls, including month‑end close journal entries, account reconciliations, costing activities, and standard cost roll processes.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a drive to continuously learn within the cost accounting field, and you execute on meaningful process improvements.
  • Support KPI reporting to executive‑level leaders, highlighting key focus areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive process improvements and lead cross‑functional projects across the organization.
  • Provide actionable insights to leaders, helping inform improvements and project recommendations.
  • Support cost accounting activities such as quality E&O reserves, scrap reconciliations, cycle counts, standard costing, BOM and routing setups, manufacturing process alignment, and inventory flow accuracy.
  • Learn and work within tools like Hyperion/SmartView, Apex Reporting, Tableau, Oracle FCCS, and Oracle EBS.
  • Show flexibility by taking on additional business support responsibilities and ad‑hoc analytical requests as needed—including actual vs. standard cost analysis and scenario‑based modeling.
