About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the contract position of Lead Onsite Laydown Coordinator located in Cameron, LA. General Description: The Lead Onsite Laydown Coordinator reports to the Onsite Materials Manager and is a key member of the CP2 Material Management team at Venture Global . The position will be responsible for managing the receiving, storage, and issuance of materials at the site laydown locations, and report directly to the Onsite Materials Manager. The position is based in the Lake Charles/Cameron area, with some travel required between the site and offsite laydown areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years industrial construction experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role – Power generation and LNG plant construction are preferred
  • Experience working at a construction site in a supply chain related role
  • Excellent supervisory and communication skills with an established history of leading a team at a construction site
  • Experienced user of material management tracking software/RFID technology

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the project supply chain flows into the site.
  • Assist the Onsite Materials Manager with the development of laydown area layout and utilization.
  • Lead the team of coordinators and craft personnel at the site laydown areas and ensure that the required materials are available to meet the needs of construction.
  • Review Contractor and Sub-Contractor plans for receipt and storage of material and equipment
  • Ensure that the laydown area utilization is maximized, and the flow of materials accommodates the construction schedule.
  • Ensure all materials are entered into the inventory data base and are stored in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and the project preservation plan.
  • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Assist with disposition of unused items at the end of construction phase such as handover to operating unit, preparation for sale/auction, and scrapping.
