About The Position

The Lead Cook is responsible completing essential kitchen tasks – preparing food items that delight residents utilizing a variety of techniques and cooking methods. Requirements

+3 years of experience as a Cook or Line/ Prep Cook
Must be 18+ years of age
Food preparation and production experience required
Ability to meet all health requirements
Must be willing to take 2-step TB test

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience as a Lead Cook
Prefered experience managing food inventory

Responsibilities

Preparing meals
Supports a disciplined environment and provides supervision in the absence of the Culinary Services Director.
Manages food inventory appropriately and sets up work areas/stations with all necessary supplies in advance of meal service.
Performs portion control and minimizes waste to keep cost within forecasted ranges for recipes.
Understands and maintains all necessary documentation, including but not limited to, time/temperature logs, menus, invoices, etc.
Upholding cleanliness standards
Helping serve residents
Train and mentor new employees
