About The Position

The Lead - COB Dockhand plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our waterfront activities at Hidden Cove. This position is responsible for overseeing dock operations, managing staff, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. The Lead Dockhand will coordinate the arrival and departure of vessels, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dock area. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring dock staff to enhance their skills and efficiency. Ultimately, the Lead Dockhand is pivotal in creating a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors to our facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a dockhand or similar role within the hospitality or recreation industry.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to waterfront operations.
• strong leadership abilities, which are essential for managing dock staff and ensuring a cohesive team environment.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members effectively.
• Problem-solving skills are utilized daily to address any operational challenges that may arise on the dock.

Responsibilities
