Position Summary To provide for the day-to-day cares of the residents/tenants in accordance with established company policies and procedures, standards, and guidelines; and current federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the campus and as directed by the supervisor by performing the following duties.

Requirements

Successful completion of a state approved Nurses Assistant course and certified by the State of Nebraska.
Be a minimum of at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Successful completion of a state approved Medication Aide course and certified by the State of Nebraska preferred, but not required
Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Serve as a mentor and trainer for new CNAs joining the team
Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of new CNAs
Round in resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are being delivered
Provide leadership in executing the goals and objectives of the nursing assistant onboarding program to include but not limited to setting expectations to meet standards of the facility: dress code, attendance, communication and professionalism.
Ensure that training is carried out with professionalism, enthusiasm and energy
Conduct group huddles for educational needs
Assist with group in-services and competencies as requested by nursing leadership
As a mentor, will still routinely complete all routine CNA duties and responsibilities whether assigned a mentee or not
When not acting in a mentor capacity, will be part of the regular CNA staffing rotation
