Position Summary To provide for the day-to-day cares of the residents/tenants in accordance with established company policies and procedures, standards, and guidelines; and current federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the campus and as directed by the supervisor by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state approved Nurses Assistant course and certified by the State of Nebraska.
  • Be a minimum of at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a state approved Medication Aide course and certified by the State of Nebraska preferred, but not required
  • Experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for new CNAs joining the team
  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of new CNAs
  • Round in resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are being delivered
  • Provide leadership in executing the goals and objectives of the nursing assistant onboarding program to include but not limited to setting expectations to meet standards of the facility: dress code, attendance, communication and professionalism.
  • Ensure that training is carried out with professionalism, enthusiasm and energy
  • Conduct group huddles for educational needs
  • Assist with group in-services and competencies as requested by nursing leadership
  • As a mentor, will still routinely complete all routine CNA duties and responsibilities whether assigned a mentee or not
  • When not acting in a mentor capacity, will be part of the regular CNA staffing rotation
