The Lead Client Services Clinician reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Responsibilities: Leads the work of Client Services Clinicians within the practice. Serves as a role model and resource to clinical staff. Provides training and orientation to all medical assistants, and maintains training and orientation materials and records. Monitors and evaluates policies and procedures to suggest operational changes. Leads meetings/huddles. Assists with delegating daily assignments to clinician team Participates in conferences and meetings and represents the work unit on organizational initiatives. Ensures efficient patient flow through the site. Takes patient vitals. May administer shots/injections. Greets incoming patients. Acts as a liaison between the Program and other hospital departments/physician offices. Escorts the patient throughout the day to meet their needs. Trouble shoots and problem solves care delivery issues. Notifies clinic leadership and/or appropriate department/physician office of deviations in the patient's schedule. Assures that patients arrive promptly at scheduled appointments. Makes adjustments to the patients' schedule to eliminate or minimize delays. Provides each department and/or physicians and administrators with the necessary requisitions needed and collects appropriate medical reports and billing statements. Collects and tracks medical information for internist prior to scheduled exit conference. Pre-orders lunch for patients as requested. Sets up rooms prior to the arrival of patients and cleans up after last patients exit. Assembles patient exit packet for internist prior to scheduled exit conference or debrief. May assist with: Electrocardiogram, venipuncture, immunizations, sets up procedure trays, specimen collection and/or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments waived testing as directed by provider. Provides high quality care: Prepares and stocks exam rooms in treatment area by following established protocols for disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and instruments. Participates in environmental safety rounds. Monitors and maintains equipment and instruments. Assists in disposing expired items. Adheres to office opening and closing procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
