This position is responsible for leading care and providing mobile-based crisis intervention services for the Santo Domingo Pueblo community. Duties include answering emergency lines, responding to crisis situations, assisting and coordinating acute hospitalizations, and facilitating social detox in collaboration with the on-call KFWC therapist or clinical supervisor. Additional responsibilities include scheduling intake appointments, monitoring court orders, and coordinating linkage services. The Lead CIRT specialists position routinely assesses and coordinates care for tribal members who are experiencing mental health and substance use crises. The Lead CIRT specialists is expected to function independently, professionally, ethically, and in a self-directed manner always. Responsibilities include managing crisis situations, completing client intakes, implementing crisis plans, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating referrals to other agencies, and ensuring that teamwork and program standards are upheld. Work must adhere closely to organizational policies and procedures. The Lead CIRT ensures quality assurance during shifts that all documentation is completed and continuity of care between shifts by communicating updates, incidents, urgent issues, transfer of the on-call phone, and tasks that need follow-ups to ensure safety and efficiency. The Lead CIRT Specialists demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills in delivering crisis intervention services and serve as a model for required competencies for other staff.
