  • Familiarity with pack level compliance/validation workflows and environmental testing (HALT/HASS, IP ratings).
  • Rapid prototyping methods for jigs, fixtures, and enclosures (CNC, 3D printing, laser cutting).

Responsibilities

  • Pack architecture & design - translate cell electro‑mechanical constraints into module/pack layouts, interconnect schemes, and mechanical housings.
  • Hands‑on prototyping - tab & ultrasonic/laser/spot welding, bus‑bar machining, harness and custom cable fabrication, potting, sealing, and enclosure builds in our in‑house lab.
  • Electrical integration - select and tune BMS ICs, design wire harnesses, and high‑current connectors; validate with oscilloscopes, SMUs, battery cyclers, and HV probes.
  • Testing & data analysis - run performance, safety, abuse, and environmental tests; analyze cycling & impedance data to guide design iterations.
  • Cross‑functional leadership - collaborate with Cell, Product, and Safety teams; author build documentation, BoMs, and validation testing reports; mentor junior engineers and technicians.
