WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Lead CBTC Communications Engineer, Transit & Rail for our office in New York, NY. Be involved in projects with our Transit and Rail Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Support and represent as owner rep for MTA C&D CBTC projects. Review regulations and standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carry out project activities. Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, and quality assurance activities, offering expert systems engineering insight. Inspects construction site to monitor progress and assess conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction standards. Assist in resolving design issues and questions from the Design Build contractor. Communicate and coordinate with the Design Build contractor and the project team. Must be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against the contract requirements. Analyzes project task needs, changes and enhancements and makes recommendations. Oversee CBTC system integration and testing, validating performance and safety across all components. Oversee internal and external interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with rolling stock, wayside equipment, and control centers. Identify and mitigate system-level risks, developing contingency strategies to support project success. Prepares and gives briefings and presentations, advises senior management. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
