About The Position

The Lead Cashier at Wegmans is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Front End, providing leadership to cashiers, and enhancing customer service. This role involves proactively assisting customers, managing cashier operations, and ensuring that employees have the necessary tools to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Proactively approach customers, assist them in locating products, and answer any questions they have.
• Promptly respond to assist cashiers to meet customer needs quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor customer flow and traffic patterns throughout the store, manage the right number of open lanes and run registers as necessary to reduce customer wait time.
