About The Position

The Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is responsible for ensuring efficient guest transactions and maintaining high standards at the cashwrap area. The Lead Cashier plays a crucial role in achieving sales goals and supporting the leadership team in operational tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling.
• Experience addressing guest concerns and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.
• Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Ensure exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, and recommending products.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of cashwrap displays and supplies.
• Support the leadership team with cashier chat ins and outs, and associate exit inspections.
• Stay informed about industry trends and products to better serve guests.
• Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates in cashiering.
• Engage and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at the cashwrap.
