About The Position

Provide individualized employment support based on the client’s needs, including job search and placement assistance, resume/cover letter development, career counseling, coaching to enhance interviewing skills. Conduct group Assessments, Orientation and Job Club. Complete all case notes and program documentation, ensures accuracy and compliance within program guidelines and confirms timely delivery of services. Conducts outreach, and attends local job fairs. Responsible for distribution gift cards used for client supportive services: Submit completed records, receipts, and open item forms to finance. Update program Rosters to reflect status of enrollments, placements and training activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; college degree is preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative support role
  • Some previous HR experience beneficial
  • Microsoft Office Suites Proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to follow directions and execute tasks successfully within an assigned time frame
  • The ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
  • Goal-oriented focus.
  • Ability to bend and lift light objects
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
  • Capable of hearing and speaking to exchange information
  • Seeing to read reports and data
  • Ability to speak English
  • Must be able to work in a noisy, busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive case management services, includes assessment testing, assessment test grading, and review assessment results with client
  • Assist client in pre-employment training and job preparation
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing an employability plan and program application
  • Monitor client progress with respect to employment plan this includes and training course, certifications, licenses or required needs to complete the employment plan.
  • Maintain follow-up on client placement as required
  • Develop and maintain community and external agency employment network to assist client with sources to complete employment plan.
  • Develop and perform outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Establish eligibility and execute employment and training tasks in accordance with specific grant provisions for applicable programs.
  • Reviews expenditures for approval and account classification; obtain funds to replenish cash as needed.
  • Distribution of gift cards used for client supportive services, submit completed records, receipts, and open item forms to finance.
  • Track program performance goals.
