About The Position

Lead Caregiver StoryPoint Pickerington The Lead Caregiver is responsible for providing caring and personalized assistance for residents living in our community. Required Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous health care or geriatric experience preferred CNA preferred CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/visual instructions Accountabilities Lead, manage, and overall accountability for your team and their performance Timely & Accountable Attendance: Upholding to work schedule, being ready to start work on time, remaining on the job for the whole duration of shift, and limited use of time off 1440 Care for residents: Understanding and leading our 1440 care standards so you and your team ensure that each resident and each family has their needs met Responsible communication with families: communicating messages tactfully and timely with residents families and ensuring the message has been received and correctly understood Communicate resident changes immediately; providing timely and detailed information to your Wellness Leader regarding any changes to a residents needs or care Other Key Responsibilities Leads and provides 1440 care Will provide compassionate and competent care for residents by performing the following services: Bathing, showering and grooming assistance Serve and collect food trays; assist residents with dining Wheelchair and walking escorts Toileting and incontinence care assistance Meal, activity, and medication reminder assistance Wake up and turn down service Upkeep of resident rooms Answers resident call signals Medication assistance/medication administration Maintains appropriate and complete documentation per company policies Input information into Yardi/CareStream Available to work weekends and/or on call as necessary as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization Perform other duties as assigned General Working Conditions This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous health care or geriatric experience preferred
• CNA preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification strongly preferred
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written/oral/visual instructions
• Available to work weekends and/or on call as necessary as assigned by the Wellness Coordinator
