Under the direction of the EHS Program Director, the Early Head Start Lead Caregiver plays a vital leadership role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and high‑quality learning environment for infants and toddlers. This position leads the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate daily curriculum while overseeing all classroom operations. The Lead Caregiver uses sound judgment and initiative to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the classroom, providing guidance and mentorship to classroom staff and volunteers. From organizing daily activities to supervising classroom routines, this role is hands‑on, collaborative, and deeply impactful shaping both early childhood experiences and a strong, supportive team culture.
