About The Position

The Alaska Club is currently hiring Lead Camp Counselors at our East Anchorage and South Fairbanks clubs. We are a state-wide network of fitness clubs offering state-of-the-art facilities for all things fitness. We offer camp programs throughout the year for kids ages 5-12. The role of Lead Camp Counselor is a fun and dynamic position that offers a great team environment and flexible work schedule. Our Lead Camp Counselors foster a fun environment for kids by facilitating a variety of activities to keep kids active and stimulated. They also ensure a safe environment and communicate daily with families and agencies as needed. Join our team and help develop your leadership and teaching skills. Requirements

21 years of age or older.
12 semester hours or college credits in early childhood development, child development, child psychology, or the equivalent OR hold a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Montessori Certificate
Must have an understanding of the development of children.
Must have the skills to work with children, family members, department staff, community agencies, and fellow staff.
Ability to handle finances and plan and evaluate programs.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Ability to multi-task and lead group activities (arts & crafts, sports, games, etc).
