Lead CAD Technician
About The Position
The CAD Designer/Controls Design Support role works closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to coordinate and execute all CAD-related work in alignment with project schedules and manufacturing requirements. This position collaborates with the Group Engineering Manager and Senior Quality Engineer to maintain and improve company design standards. Additional responsibilities include assisting with project deliverables such as system design documentation, equipment layouts, and limited on-site startup support for control and monitoring system projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize workload within the CAD department to ensure on-time delivery of drawing packages.
- Revise drawings including initial releases, internal markups, design changes, shipping prints, and as-built documentation.
- Prepare subplate and enclosure layouts.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials.
- Produce electrical wiring diagrams and loop drawings.
- Limited system design responsibilities which may include the preparation and development of project submittals.
- Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders to support project goals and resolve design issues.
- Maintain current CAD software updates and releases.
- Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of company design standards.
