Lead Bus Driver / Lot Coordinator - Middletown, NY Full-Time Position (30+ hours per week) Are you a current CDL holder with experience in the automotive industry? Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (with proper endorsements including Passenger endorsement) for New York State or for the state of residence, which must be maintained throughout employment.
• Valid DOT medical certificate, which must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of school buses to customers in a courteous, safe, and timely manner; ensuring compliance with all company policies, traffic laws, and state and federal transit regulations.
• Serves as an ambassador for Leonard Bus Sales to prospective and existing customers, requiring professional and courteous image at all times with the aim of making the customer feel important and valued.
• Ensures vehicle placed in one’s care is safely and securely stored when not attended to.
• Ensures all relevant paperwork is provided to customer and required signatures, documentation, and payment is received and delivered back to the facility per policy.
• Provides vital communication link between other Bus Drivers and other integral departments in the dealership.
• Responsible for the inspection and road testing of all newly delivered buses to determine any malfunctions or damage, notifying supervisor of any needed repair.
• When available, performs timely check in of customer units upon arrival and performs vehicle health check.
• Responsible for parking lot organization and appearance, and for maintaining an understanding of which buses are in which stages of completion and the location of buses at all times at specific facility.
