Lead Bus Driver - Saratoga Springs, NY Full-Time Position (30+ hours per week) Are you a current CDL holder with experience in the automotive industry? Leonard Bus Sales is currently looking for a Lead Bus Driver in our Saratoga Springs, NY facility. Acts as the lead for all New Bus deliveries. Performs final inspection of new buses prior to delivery, with a focus on cleanliness, fit and finish, and alignment with customer specifications. Records findings and notifies Service Manager of needed repair. Maintains a thorough understanding of school bus specifications and options. Serves as an ambassador for Leonard Bus Sales to prospective and existing customers, requiring professional and courteous image at all times with the aim of making the customer feel important and valued. Ensures all relevant paperwork is provided to customer and required signatures, documentation, and payment is received and delivered back to the facility per policy. Provides vital communication link between Bus Drivers and other integral departments in the dealership. Assists in implementing operational policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with the Service Manager and other team members as necessary, ensuring that practices are in accordance with accepted practices and LBS policy and procedures. Provides on the job support for Bus Drivers as required. Regularly monitors performance and provides coaching and support to Bus Driver team in accordance with best practices and established guidelines. Minimum Requirements of Lead Bus Driver are: High school diploma or equivalent. Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Certifications or Licenses Required: Valid Commercial Driver License (with proper endorsements including Passenger endorsement) for New York State or for the state of residence, which must be maintained throughout employment. Valid DOT medical certificate, which must be maintained throughout employment. More than great buses, your partner and trusted advisor.
