About The Position

Jo's is looking for a Shift Leader who will exceed the expectations of all customers in a multitude of tasks that include (but are not limited to) maintaining superior quality standards regarding food and drink production, preparation, sanitation, safety, and service. Jo's Shift Leads must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. Shift Leads will greet all customers and guests and create a welcoming environment. Shift Leads must develop and maintain the company's culture, values, and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, vendors, and partners.

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two years related experience in coffee shops or service industry
Ability to lead with respect and by example
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers
Ability to understand Point of Sales systems (POS)
Ability to apply concepts of basic math

Responsibilities

Train and supervise workers in service, sanitation, and safety
Resolve customer complaints
Maintain knowledge of POS systems
Delegate Barista duties and responsibilities in accordance with store standards
Responsible for opening and closing procedures Perform Barista and Cashier duties as needed
Assist GM with analyzing operational problems and help to establish procedures to improve/solve
Assist GM in establishing cost improvement objectives and implement action plans
Assist GM with inventory and ordering
Assist GM with daily sales and reporting
Assist GM with training staff on menu
Assist GM with planning and execution of Jo's events
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, and verbal instruction
Ensure open lines of communication between staff and management
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working condition. Notify management when service is needed
Attend relevant meetings
