Requirements

  • Hospitality oriented
  • Minimum 2–3 years of barista experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso equipment, and service standards.
  • Excellent guest service, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Nice To Haves

  • Barista Certification pefferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, personalized, and anticipatory guest service in alignment with brand service standards, creating a memorable guest experience.
  • Lead by example on the floor, coordinating daily coffee shop operations and modeling professional service behaviors for the barista team.
  • Prepare and lead the execution of high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring adherence to approved recipes, brewing methods, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and address concerns using the LEARN service recovery method when necessary.
  • Support and coordinate opening, service, and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness, proper setup, and operational readiness of all areas.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods, and confidently answer guest questions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, product quality, and waste; communicate replenishment needs and support proper stocking of coffee, food items, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure all coffee equipment is properly operated, calibrated, and cleaned; report issues and assist with basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Assign daily duties, conduct pre-shift briefings, and support the training, coaching, and development of barista team members.
  • Support cash-handling procedures, including cashier reports, discrepancy resolution, fund security, and proper use of the POS system.
  • Ensure compliance with resort safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Act as a team lead during emergencies or safety incidents.
  • Foster positive working relationships, promote teamwork, and support departmental service and operational goals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with resort grooming and uniform standards.
  • Safeguard confidential and proprietary information and perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
