About The Position

This position will lead the front-of-house team by ensuring exceptional quality in food, beverage, and service while maintaining cleanliness and operational standards, and elevating the guest experience. This role involves fostering a culture of superior guest service, managing performance, ensuring adherence to policies, and maintaining accurate records for personnel, sales, and labor.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of Barista experience.
  • Training: Strong knowledge of policies and procedures, with the ability to mentor, train new team members, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Cash Handling & Financial Oversight: Proficient in overseeing cash handling processes and ensuring accurate POS system operations and transactions.
  • Guest Service & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to address guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly, maintaining professionalism.
  • Policy Enforcement & Compliance: Ability to monitor and enforce adherence to department policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration & Flexibility: Effective communicator, able to work well with team members and adapt to additional duties as needed to support operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-volume a la carte venue.
  • Experience in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and POS.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of positions, policies, and procedures, mentor team members and step in to support as needed.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring the accurate operation of the point-of-sale system, managing cash, and making change as necessary.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally, in line with department policies.
  • Maintain effective communication with Team Members through memos, bulletin boards, shift reports, and meetings.
  • Train new baristas and offer feedback to ensure proper techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.
  • Monitor staff compliance with department policies, including confidentiality, POS transactions, cash handling, sales labor reporting, and product up-selling.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
