As a Lead Technician at Hive, you will play an integral role in creating amazing smart home experiences for our clients. From state-of-the-art home theaters to high-tech security systems, you'll be hands-on in installing and troubleshooting the most innovative automation systems out there. You’ll work alongside a team of talented tech professionals and have the chance to lead projects from start to finish – all while learning and growing within an industry that's only getting bigger.

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with home automation systems and a deep understanding of AV, security, lighting, and shading technologies. Previous leadership experience is a plus!
Tech-Savvy: Expert knowledge of Control4 systems, audio solutions, networking, and advanced troubleshooting.
Creative Problem Solver: You love tackling complex challenges head-on and finding innovative solutions.
Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and effective in both verbal and written communication with clients and teammates.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: You’ll be managing multiple systems and tasks at once, so staying organized and being detail-focused is key!
Tech Skills: Proficiency in desktop and mobile computing, and the ability to learn new tech platforms quickly.
Clean Driving Record & Background Check: A clean driving record and background screening are required to maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

Lead the Charge: Oversee and manage your team of installers, ensuring the highest-quality installations and service delivery.
Create Smart Spaces: Perform audio/video setups, calibration, and full home automation system installations, including lighting, shading, AV systems, and more!
Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Tackle both simple and complex system issues, offering expert solutions with precision and ease.
Networking: install, and set up advanced networking and data systems to keep everything connected and running seamlessly.
Security & Surveillance Mastery: Install and program cutting-edge security systems, cameras, and surveillance solutions to help clients feel safe and secure.
Build Amazing Home Theaters: From the ground up, you’ll bring entertainment spaces to life – delivering jaw-dropping visuals and sound to create an immersive experience for our clients.
Train & Inspire: Mentor junior technicians and lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
