About The Position

Get paid to have fun making art with kids ages 18 months to 12 years! We have a seasonal position available beginning March through August, with the possibility to become permanent next Fall. If you believe slime, clay, paint, and glitter should be part of every young artist’s life, we want to meet you! Kidcreate Studio Wilmington is a fast-growing, woman-owned mobile art business that brings messy, magical art classes to kids ages 18 months–12 years at schools, churches, daycares, and recreation centers. Kidcreate art classes are a great way to introduce children to the wonderful world of art! We provide a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. Children get messy with paint, clay, and so much more! Specializing in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties, Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for kids. At Kidcreate Studio, children will create fridge-worthy masterpieces, learn art concepts, and experiment with many different art materials. Weekly classes, camps, workshops and homeschool classes are age-specific and are tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best.

Requirements

  • Age 18 years or older
  • Access to a reliable vehicle ( Classes are held at various locations within 25 miles of Wilmington. Public transportation is not a reliable option for our class sites.
  • You MUST have at least 2 days of availability between 12:00 pm–7:00 pm, Monday–Friday and at least 1 weekend day 1x/month.
  • You are comfortable working with kids ages 18 months–12 years
  • You are enthusiastic, reliable, punctual, and love art
  • Able to pass a state background check and SORI/CORI check
  • No formal art training required — just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

  • Candidates who live in or near Andover, Bedford, Burlington, North Andover, Reading, and Wilmington are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct kids about key art concepts while guiding their creativity (and cheering them on!)
  • Hand out supplies and help keep materials organized.
  • Ensure classroom management so everyone is safe and having fun
  • Assist with set-up before class and clean-up after classes
  • Travel to class locations within about 20 miles of Wilmington, MA
