Children's Lead Art Teacher
About The Position

Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for children. We teach classes, campa and birthday parties in our studio locations in Dana Point and Aliso Viejo and throughout the South Orange County community. We are currently looking for someone to fill a part-time lead teacher role. The schedule would be based on the candidate's availiabilty and our needs in the following areas: Studio Classes and Camps in Aliso Viejo (Monday-Saturday) Birthday Parties (Saturdays and Sundays) After School Classes in our mobile program (Monday-Thursday afternoons) The schedule could be 15-30 hours per week now, with potential for 35+ hours per week in the summer. Whether you are a teacher, studying to be a teacher, or just great working with groups of kids and interested in art, our studio is a great job for those who enjoy variety in their work and love introducing children to the wonderful world of art! Lead classes and events for children ages 3-11 Utilize your teaching talents to manage a classroom of 10-24 students, large classes will generally have an assistant. Interact with parents and caregivers. Clean up your classroom with provided cleaning supplies. Maintain materials and supplies. Kidcreate art classes are a great way to introduce children to the wonderful world of art! We provide a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. Children get messy with paint, clay, and so much more! Specializing in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties, Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for kids. At Kidcreate Studio, children will create fridge-worthy masterpieces, learn art concepts, and experiment with many different art materials. Weekly classes, camps, workshops and homeschool classes are age-specific and are tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Willing to submit to a DOJ/FBI background check
- Valid drivers license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Flexible availability and comfortable with part-time hours that vary from week to week
- Experience working with groups of preschool and/or elementary aged children

- College education a plus (graduates or in progress)
- Reliability
- Strong interest in arts and crafts - our curriculum is easy to follow and you don't have to be a master artist. We're looking for someone who enjoys the process and helps children have fun and feel accomplished.
- Comfortable working in various environments - different classrooms, outdoor areas, and lunchrooms are typical for our after school programs.
