Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field of study plus six (6) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience.
  • Work Experience. Three (3) years of experience must include: Mainframe Programming Development; COBOL; DB2; JCL; CICS; Web Services/API Development; Modernization of Legacy Applications; DB2 Database; Agile Methodology; Micro services; HTML; CSS; JSON; and XML

  • Responsibilities. Responsible for working within a Scrum team to develop software designs that will be used for new and improved applications. Work with clients, product managers, architects, and software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement impactful software solutions that support companies with one to millions of employees. Participate in a Scrum call to prioritize and track work and to choose user stories to work within a sprint cycle. Oversee all aspects of mainframe application design, development, testing, and deployment using technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. Coordinate with the mainframe application development team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and performance enhancements to ensure high team efficiency and system reliability. Balance assigning user stories through prioritization, working within a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities in an Agile environment.
