About The Position

Senior API Platform Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing and optimizing enterprise‑grade API solutions using Apigee (Edge & Hybrid) and hybrid cloud integrations. Expert in architecting secure API proxies, shared flows, and integrations (OAuth/JWT, mTLS, encryption) with full‑stack capabilities across Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, microservices, and Kubernetes-based platforms. Skilled in CI/CD automation, governance, performance tuning, observability, and cross‑functional collaboration, serving as an SME for secure hybrid API platform development and cloud operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience of Senior API Platform Developer-Engineer (Apigee / Hybrid Cloud Integration).
  • Advanced API design, security, automation, database integrations (SQL/NoSQL), event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis), and operational excellence in Linux/cloud environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple Google Cloud/API certifications and hands-on Apigee Hybrid installation are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and optimizes enterprise-grade API solutions on Apigee (Edge and Hybrid).
  • Architects robust API proxies, policies, and reusable shared flows/templates leveraging OpenAPI/Swagger standards, while implementing and maintaining secure API integrations (mTLS, OAuth/JWT, encryption, certificate lifecycle management).
  • Full-stack development capabilities-spanning Java/Spring Boot, Node.js microservices, and container-native orchestration (Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, Envoy)-are critical for backend enablement and seamless hybrid cloud operations.
  • Hands-on CI/CD automation, pipeline design (Grunt, scripting), and infrastructure-as-code practices ensure scalable, repeatable deployments and proxy versioning.
  • Focuses on governance, performance optimization, observability, logging, and analytics, troubleshooting runtime issues for reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with product and architecture teams, maintaining partial overlap with US time zones for Agile delivery, and acting as an SME on all aspects of hybrid platform development and secure integration.
