About The Position

Own the full end-to-end sales commission process, including plan implementation, accurate and timely calculations, adjustments, payouts, and comprehensive reporting. Act as the primary point of contact for commission inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing clear resolutions to sales teams and leadership. Design, build, and maintain scalable commission models, reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to meet evolving business needs. Analyze commission plan performance, identify trends, assess effectiveness, and deliver actionable recommendations to optimize incentive structures and align with company goals. Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales Operations, HR, and IT/systems teams to ensure commission structures support strategic objectives and operational excellence. Manage updates, maintenance, and enhancements to the commission system (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, Callidus, CaptivateIQ). Lead process improvement and automation projects to streamline workflows, reduce manual efforts, and enhance efficiency. Monitor compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards related to compensation. Train and mentor junior analysts on best practices, tools, and commission processes. Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like qualifications, location, and performance taken into account. The typical pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 4+ years of experience in sales compensation, financial analysis, commission administration, or a closely related field.
  • Proven expertise with commission/incentive management systems (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, Callidus, CaptivateIQ) and data tools (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of sales compensation structures, incentive modeling, accounting principles, and revenue recognition.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex datasets, spot trends, and translate data into strategic insights.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with senior stakeholders, sales teams, and leadership.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
