About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. This incumbent will report to the Associate Director-Accounting in Revenue Accounting Operations. The role will have responsibility for daily tracking of billing source data into and through the financial reporting systems. Responsibilities will include data validation, error correction, and balance sheet reconciliation. Operation of key Sarbanes Oxley controls are under the responsibilities of this role. Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on qualifications. Those include use of advanced reporting tools and AI. What you’ll do Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement areas. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. General Ledger and Accounting Operations: Maintain all accounting systems and manage the general ledger. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare journal entries, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, and manage records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions. Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns and statutory filings. Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide tax-related advice. Internal Controls and Compliance: Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Coordinate internal and external audits. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks as required to support financial health and operational efficiency, including cash flow management, budgeting, team leadership, system improvements, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge.
  • Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions.
  • Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.
