About The Position

The LDAR Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting company activities related to Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP (BWON) programs, including inventory oversight, at the Mont Belvieu, TX nested site. This role manages day-to-day execution of LDAR and BWON services, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides technical leadership to field teams. This position plays a critical role in planning, execution, and continuous improvement of highly technical and compliance-driven client programs. The LDAR Supervisor utilizes strong communication skills, regulatory knowledge, and hands-on field experience to maintain customer compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and support the growth of PROtect’s LDAR and BWON service offerings. BWON experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with solid LDAR leadership experience and a willingness to learn BWON requirements will be considered and trained.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in industrial services or refinery environments with a focus on LDAR; BWON experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting BWON compliance programs (inventory, monitoring, reporting) is highly desired.
  • Candidates with strong LDAR supervisory experience and willingness to be trained on BWON requirements will be considered.
  • Proven experience managing remote or multi-site field teams.
  • Strong understanding of EPA and state environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to understand the broader operational and compliance picture.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to recognize client opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and in an office environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and office locations as required.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and work at a computer for long durations.
  • Requires fine visual acuity and clear verbal communication.
  • A strong commitment to personal and team safety is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee execution of LDAR and BWON monitoring, inventory, and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with EPA, state, and site-specific requirements.
  • Support the management and administration of BWON programs, including data accuracy, inventory tracking, monitoring schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure LDAR and BWON data, calibration records, and databases are complete and accurate to support client reporting and regulatory audits.
  • Provide technical expertise and field support for LDAR and BWON services as needed to support operational continuity and growth.
  • Coordinate development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SOPs for LDAR and BWON services.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to LDAR and Inventory staff to build competency, support advancement, and ensure consistent performance.
  • Assess staff competencies and provide corrective action when necessary; support the LDAR Manager with performance reviews.
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires, including LDAR and BWON fundamentals, safety requirements, and field readiness.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, travel planning, and resource allocation to optimize coverage and reduce costs.
  • Review Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) and ensure all staff have appropriate PPE, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to ensure all employees maintain required training prior to and during field work.
  • Direct and monitor safety standards to ensure a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings and maintain project status reporting for LDAR and BWON services.
  • Lead quote and estimating development and support account managers in preparing customer proposals and presentations.
  • Recognize customer needs and opportunities and coordinate with divisional managers to share resources when needed.
  • Promote company culture and identify operational or compliance obstacles impacting customer success.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to support development and delivery of new and existing LDAR/BWON products and services.
  • Manage supplier accounts related to monitoring equipment, calibration gas, and leak tags.
  • Provide backup support to the LDAR Manager for job sheets, time sheets, and expense reporting in collaboration with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely system entry.
  • Maintain consistent communication with LDAR Manager, Engineering Manager, and Senior Vice President, Risk & Compliance regarding project status, staffing, equipment needs, and compliance issues.
